We support projects with a desire to make something truly better: our aim, always, is long term development. We provide support for projects that have a lasting positive effect, in an underprivileged or disadvantaged situation. Mostly, we’re in it for the longer term, not necessarily by means of a one-off investment.

At the core of Egeria Do’s philosophy, you’ll find entrepreneurship. Our support goes beyond just financial, we aim to empower our projects using the entrepreneurial capabilities of our company’s employees. We focus on projects that have clear, measurable objectives, embrace a businesslike approach, and strive to achieve significant and lasting impact.
Why
Egeria Do aims to provide financial support to projects in the Netherlands that have a lasting positive impact on people and society. Egeria Do invests in projects that seek to achieve significant impact with an independent future perspective. Projects that aspire to be financially self-sustainable in the long term.
Do (with emphasis on ‘O’) is the Japanese pronunciation of the Chinese term ‘Tao,’ which in short means: the path back to the universe, or the path to self-development. Thus, Egeria Do does not give just to give but to enable sustainable change together. Our ‘gift’ is an investment in the future, in development.
Our vision and ambition
Egeria Do aims to create a significant impact by supporting and being a valuable partner to those who make a meaningful and long-term difference for people and society. We want to make that next leap possible so that we can achieve what seems impossible together. We also look at what we can learn from the projects we support because we believe in improvement through connection.
Section criteria
We seek to uphold Egeria’s core values in all our activities. We therefore select projects on the basis of the following criteria.
Nearness
- We keep it close to home: projects close to our company’s and employees’ capabilities and heart, our regular business, and operating from the Netherlands.
- We wish to stay connected: both parties are easily accessible and approachable.
Collaboration
- We want to work together to achieve great results, with each party contributing its own strengths.
- We support projects that are open to cooperation and an optimum exchange of ‘resources’.
- Projects that are open to take into account different visions and perspectives.
Development
- We are future orientated and support projects focused on long-term impact.
- Development is a significant aspect of the project, the desire to make something truly ‘better’. Fundamentally it is about improving an underprivileged or disadvantaged situation.
- We provide support for the longer term, not necessarily by means of a one-off investment but possibly over several years (1-3).
Entrepreneurship
- We value an entrepreneurial mindset: the ability to look beyond and across fixed solutions and borders, think out-of-the-boxand turn the seemingly impossible creatively into reality.
- We support projects with a future ambition to operate mainly (financially) independent.
