During his psychology studies, Dirk gained valuable experience in both the real estate and financial sectors. After completing his master’s degree in clinical psychology, he chose to pursue a professional career in real estate.

Dirk has been with Egeria since the end of 2012, when he began building the Egeria RE portfolio in Berlin. In 2016, he assumed responsibility for the entire portfolio, including assets in the Netherlands and Boston. Additionally, Dirk joined the Egeria board in 2015.

At the end of 2022, Dirk transitioned out of his operational role at Egeria Real Estate Investments. Since then, he has focused on other investments within the Egeria Group and has remained closely involved in operations as an Investment Committee (IC) member at ERED and EREI. In 2025, he took over as Chairman of the Board of Directors.
