Vestas
In June 1997, Egeria made its first ever investment in Vestas Wind Systems. Egeria bought an interest in Vestas by means of a secondary buy-out of a group of investors.
Our investment in Vestas was the first in a series of many made by Egeria.
Vestas Wind Systems – a Danish international company – is the world leader in wind technology and a driving force in the development of the wind power industry. Vestas’ core business comprises the development, manufacture, sale, marketing and maintenance of wind power systems that use wind energy to generate electricity.
The company has been active in the wind energy market since 1979 and supplies its wind technology all over the world. The investment in Vestas terminated when the company was floated on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange and London Stock Exchange in 1998.
