Imtech Traffic & Infra becomes Dynniq
Imtech Traffic & Infra renames to Dynniq. A modern name to match the ambition of the company: the technical service provider is developing into an advanced technology partner. ‘Energising mobility’ is the motto. The company is going to focus on technology and innovation and position itself around three markets: mobility, parking and energy.
By renaming itself, Dynniq wants to emphasise that it understands and improves the dynamics of current mobility and energy flows. The company has many years of experience in managing mobility and energy issues and is responsible for the delivery of several progressive projects. For instance the former Imtech Traffic & Infra was co-responsible for the construction of the well-publicised Solaroad, an innovative road surface converting sunlight into energy. They are also the party behind the intelligent intersections in Helmond, Netherlands where the traffic flow has been improved by connecting intersections with each other and SCOOT, the international adaptive control system. Cees de Wijs, CEO of Dynniq states: “Designing, connecting and integrating systems is what we are good at. This is also going to be our focus in the coming years.”
Moreover, the company is not only focussed on helping its customers with their current issues but also with their future challenges. De Wijs: “Cooperative systems will provide communication between vehicles, and between vehicles, roadside systems and parking management solutions. We were the first in the Netherlands to develop products to make cooperative applications possible. Under the name of Dynniq we will continue to develop these and other technologies.”
With over 1800 employees Dynniq is not only active in the European market but also in South America, the United States and Canada. In August 2015 the company was taken over by the investment company Egeria.
