Royal Herkel

In October 2008, Egeria, together with the management, acquired a majority stake in Herkel, a former family-owned company.

Herkel is a contract manufacturer of food supplements, cosmetics and pharmaceutical products. Herkel’s customers include more than 150 European marketing and retail organisations, including drug stores, pharmacies and supermarkets. Herkel’s assortment covers over 1,000 products, from A-labels to private label products.

Herkel follows the highest quality standard guidelines and is GMP, HACCP and BRC certified.

Herkel is located in Zeewolde, the Netherlands. The company employs approximately 200 people who are jointly responsible for its annual sales of around € 40 million.

In July 2014, Herkel was sold.
