Nationale Borg
On 1 June 2007, Egeria, together with Hal Investments, acquired N.V. Nationale Borg Maatschappij from ING Bank.
Nationale Borg is a leading provider of non-life insurance products in the Benelux market as well as of international reassurance and credit assurance. Its customers are active in areas such as construction, logistics, trading and the capital goods sector. In addition, the company is active internationally as a re-insurer in the sureties and credit assurance sector. Market knowledge and high-quality service provision, combined with a good reputation and a history of over 115 years, make Nationale Borg a leader in this non-life insurance segment. The special market position is supported by an ‘A’ rating from Standard & Poor’s.
The company is located in Amsterdam (head office) and Antwerp and employs more than 65 people. Nationale Borg has around € 100 million of assets under management.
