ilionx and QNH join forces

Utrecht/Amsterdam, 27 March 2018 – IT service providers ilionx and QNH have reached an agreement regarding an extensive partnership. The intention is to operate as a joint entity in the ICT market.

The transaction should be seen within the context of the acquisition of ilionx by investment company Egeria last year. Floris Waage, partner at Egeria: “QNH caught our eye during the acquisition of ilionx. We noticed that the two companies complement each other on many points. It makes sense that we ended up at QNH again as part of ilionx’s innovate & growth strategy. We are pleased that we have been able to take this important step with ilionx already.”

Wiebe de Boer, CEO of ilionx: “There has been a strong and growing demand for ICT services in the Netherlands for some time now, mostly from larger companies. I am convinced that the intellectual capital, skills, and experience of the people at QNH will make us even more capable of meeting that demand. I see lots of similarities in company culture, the way of working, and the focus on quality. The transaction will strengthen both companies’ capabilities in Microsoft and Java technology, and will make us one of the largest players in the Netherlands with a combined total of around 150 BI experts.”

Hen Snackers, CEO of QNH, is also pleased with the agreement. “Our specialisations complement each other really well. QNH holds an important position in telecom, industry, and retail, among others, while ilionx is more specialised in areas such as the healthcare sector. We are both strong players in the financial sector already, but I see an opportunity to acquire an even larger market share as a joint player.” Snackers also sees great benefits for all employees: “I expect that this step, together with the combined companies’ strong market position, will result in even more great customers with more interesting projects.” Wiebe de Boer: “The addition of QNH’s branches gives us strong national coverage. That means less travel time for our employees, and improved service for our customers.”

This partnership will result in a medium to large ICT service provider with over 800 employees and an annual turnover of over €100 million. The new combination will be led by Wiebe de Boer (CEO), Erwin van den Bosch (CFO), Hen Snackers (COO), and Dolf-Jan Mulder (CTO). ilionx and QNH will continue to operate under their own names for now.
